I drove very hard with my car cold.
Hey guys I know this question is going to urk everyone but I just need some solid answers please dont grind me <3
I've owned my 8 for 4 years- she sat parked for 2 years but was started twice a week and maintained properly.
But I remeber on three occasions during those 2 years I was forced to leave my parents house due to personal issues with my step father- but I didn't quite let my car warm up.. at all. I got in the car fired her up with no mid pipe or cat back and went WOT down the street and floored it a few miles down to a good friends house.
this happened a few times.
my car has been fine no signs of anything major- it's been forever since I've done that but now that I've been preparing her to be my daily again- I finally put the cheapest megan racing mid pipe on her but she feels incredibly less peppy.
maybe her roar made me feel a lot faster than I was actually going? (When she was catless)
anyways I'm wondering if the feeling of her being just slower could be correlated with me damaging inner components of the engine driving her hard while cold?
or if could actually be that shitty mid pipe killing my flow.
I took her to mazda and apparently I have an air intake boot elbow w hose- completely missing? Could it be that?!?!?!? I've attached my cars report.

Without the intake boot hose that you are missing there is no way for the MAF sensor to tell how much air is going into the engine. Basically it will try and run but have no real way to alter anything
You need to replace that for sure.
Some of the other stuff you could likely get a LOT cheaper from a wreck...those prices are kinda out there

Yeah, the elbow missing is a problem, and which one it is can make it worse. One of them is JetAir, that will let a ton of extra air in the motor. The other 1 or 2 are less problematic, but still an issue.
I suggest fixing that first. The parts are likely under the hood someplace..
