Hunting idle problem fixed!

Two weeks ago I bought a 2005 RX-8. It has serious electrical problems since day 1 (no ignition, nothing). So serious I just can't even get back home with it! I decided to get it towed to the nearest dealer. They got their so called RX-8 expert on it and many hours of work later he replaced ignition switch, clutch switch and some wires. The car stared up fine but was hunting idle, supposedly because of the K&N intake that was in... And on the way back home, the radio display disappeared now and then and a CEL code appeared... It just cost me over 1 grand to have my car half repaired! Nothing to be proud of or happy neither.

So I decided to not get back to the dealer 'cause I don't want them to mess anymore with my 8. I did a little search for hunting idle on the forum and did find that it has to be the neutral switch, more likely than the K&N sh!((y intake. After looking up at the switch, I went whoa!! what's that? One of the wire was cut, all of the others were just melted being too near of the cat and the reverse switch wires were half cut and touching the tranny... Clearly somebody tried to fix this and did a really bad job. But it was not the dealer's expert! He didn't even checked this! Unbelievable.

Finally, it cost me 15 bucks and few hours of labor to get it clean and almost like new Idle is perfect, and no more CEL codes!
