hoping to be an 8 owner soon

i have been reading all of the stickies for a few weeks now(and still not done yet, wow there is a lot) and I have made the decision that I want an 8 whether its now of sometime later I want one. I currently own a 03 jeep kj renegade edition, which I'm in a few forums for as well. I really have been considering trading it for an rx8 but all either are out of my budget or seem somewhat sketchy. So i might just be on here as an observer until i finally get an 8.
some things about me are I'm sixteen, into computers and gaming, work about 28 hours a week, and like cars(kinda obviously), an when ever i want something or want to buy something I research it an find out all of the goods and bads about it, like when i wanted to play skyrim in higher definition than my xbox would allow so i learnt about computer hardware and kept learning until I was able to build my own gaming pc which is a motherboard swap and a crossfire away from max resolution (I'm a bit obsessive with my hobbies)

Well, if you are seriouly considering an RX-8; one needs to be "obsessive" of owning the car.

Obsessive would be an understatement. Obsessed is the word I'd use for my passion for them before I decided to buy one. Now... borderline insanity and I'm loving every moment of it. Coin, consider an rx-8 a new girlfriend or boyfriend, that when you buy, you are proposing to. Treat her well, and she'll never stop making you all tingly ^_~

Hello fellow Jeeper. Along with the RX8, I also have a 94 Cherokee.

Your on the right track, by becoming informed, if your getting the car.

Alnielsen I always have liked the cherokees, I actually like them more than the libertys because there is so much more to do with them than any other jeep short of the wranglers. You have any mods on it?
Also for everyone else, I kinda had a feeling that all of you were very passionate about your 8s after reading some of the stuff here, now all I need is an 8 to be passionate about.

I bought it a year and a half ago with bad brakes, blown shocks and saggy rear leaf springs.
A mild 3" spring lift, 31" AT tires were installed. I put a light bar on the front bumper to mount 2x 100W flood lamps. Holes were cut in the front bumper to allow the installation of D-ring recovery brackets. A carry rack is on the roof. I going to replace the weak Dana 35 rear with a stronger Chrysler 8.25. I have 2 of those in the driveway at the moment. I will choose one to build up with a locker and maybe a truss to add even more strength. In the future, I would like to put an e-locker in the front. This is meant to be a daily driver (rotary support, winter driver and some trail use) so, I'm not going wild.
Like my RX8, most of the mods go under the vehicle so they look mostly stock at first glance.
