High idle after tun up, Throttle body cleaning

I replaced coils today ,new plugs , new plug wires , Took throttle body off and cleaned that .
I noted a big difference in quality of coils. Old coils were aluminum interior contacts as compared to Coils from advance auto as recommenced here .
I sure stars easier and can tell a difference in power . !!!
How idle is about 1200 -900 rpm .... on the high side ?
After cleaning throttle body butterfly valve would not completely close on its on ???
Any ideas !!!!

The valve doesn't close compleatly but it shouldn't be open more than a small crack. It's possible you didn't get the TB back on tight or it's not sealed right. Mine idles around 800 RPMs after it's warmed up.

It could be that you cleaned it and now it flows a little more at idle . If you give it a day or so you may find it corrects itself .

Just an educated guess, but did you try resetting everything and letting the car re-learn fuel trims? Could be trying to run on old settings from when throttle body was gummed up and has no clue what to do with the extra air flow other than try to add fuel and idle rpm's.

That doesn't reset the ECU trims. Disconnecting tthe battery will do that .

You need to do both resets to gather or risk other problems. It will idle like crap and could stall first couple of starts but that's normal. You'll just have to drive about 50-100 miles for it to learn all the new data. And seeing how your going that far you mine as well clean the MAF and ESS befor you do the reset.
