Hi New Member here

Hello everyone! I am looking forward to getting feedback from fellow rotary fans. I forgot how many posts it takes to get off the probationary period. I'm not gifted in the way of small talk but I understand completely with the vetting process, lots of bots, scams, and spam.

OMP repair kit, new OMP, or new ECU?

So this is my first build and before this my knowledge of mechanics and wrenching capabilities were basically nil, still nothing to write home about and I will not be quitting my day job

In case someone happens to be strolling by the new member forum, I have a bit of an oil leak. Definitely coming from OMP, do you think it's most likely the stepping motor ? A seal or O ring issue? Or need new pump all together? It's worth mentioning that my engine flooded wayyyy too easily popped out the spark plugs and one of the leadings was fouled with oil so definitely running too rich. I've done a few mods and have never had a tune so I don't know if it's possible if maybe the ECU is confused and keeping the stepping motor open or if it's a sensor or an O ring or or or.... again sorry if my line of reasoning is stupid just trying to work through it and not to unnecessarily spend $1,200. Didn't want to write a hole novel in case no one is able to see this post. If anyone has some thoughts or need more info I'll be here. Thank you all

Most common OMP leak is the o-ring seal.

Cheap and easy fix if thats it.

Another common problem is the oil lines get brittle and break...

I have checked the oil lines and they are in surprisingly good shape. You're right, the 20 dollar repair kit is worth working through. I feel like I need to get a new ECU and see if some of the codes I've been throwing are solved. Unfortunately, I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and no one tunes Mazdas out here. With new intake, headers, and exhaust as well as the high altitude here it's no wonder the ECU is a bit confused. I can't help but think that some of the codes are a secondary issue and are not the primary source of the problem. Going to replace the secondary air injection system today and see how that cookie crumbles. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to a newbie I really appreciate your input and willingness to help me
