Idk about some issues, I think my issue with my rx8 hasn't happened yet. Limp mode from OMP however it's not the omp I think it's the stepper motor. Pull the stepper motor off and try to move the gear and it's stiff, free it up and it does great for a few miles then limp again. Back to square 1, stiff gear I have to free up in order to get it out of limp. Any suggestions? I've looked everywhere and also nobody has covered the position sensor adjustment in that when you remove it you can get it back in 2 different ways with the connector still facing down. If you look inside of the sensor when you pull it off you can clearly see that it mater with the bit coming off inside the pump that's turned my the little cam gear from the stepper, but it can fit 2 ways one doesn't put pressure on the internal spring in the sensor and if you rotate the sensor enough to fit the other way it puts quite a bit of tension. Pretty sure that matters but don't know which way is right and 2 weeks of nonstop searches have led me nowhere other than dannobre telling one user that he needs to do what he told him in the pm basically. Which we can't see, and I've sent a pm to dannobre with No response after 1 week. So please enlighten me rx8 community have any of you had that issue before? And can somebody please tell me how that stupid sensor is actually supossed to go back in? I know how to adjust it, turn full counter clockwise and adjust clockwise in small increments according to a ton of threads on this site. But how the hell does it go in before you adjust it? Where it's almost level and slips into the bit from the cal geae, or is it 180 degrees where it slips in and you have to turn it counter clockwise to get it back down where the connector is on the bottom?

Enjin cuts out on low rpm

Hi guys, i just bought a 2007 Mazda RX8 - i changed the battery, Maf, plugs and coils.
Bought it without a catalytic converter.
Start fine, idle perfect. For the first 30 miles high power and runs smooth, but then it start hesitate and gets a power loss, the car will stil go but when i slow down the enjin just cuts out completely. I will turn the ignition off and on again it it starts perfectly. Is there anyone that can help me please.

Okay y’all I’m new to this and don’t know how to post or if I can post but I have a question. I’m looking to buy a 2009 rx8r3. The guy seems to know how to maintain the car. He says the body has 111k but has a new(ish) engine with 40k on it. Everything seems to be normal but when we talked about compression test all he said was 1 face on rear had a compression of 89 and that was the lowest number in the whole engine. Is that normal? And why did he not tell me all 6 numbers? Is it typical to only remember the lowest number? Also, should I be concerned about anything else? (Parts with original 111k miles going bad?) Or should I be concerned about the engine that’s in it now?

Shouldn't have to post 10 replies to make a thread, I'm having a hard time doing that without spamming or saying something useless.

The restriction is just on creating threads outside of this subforum, you can still post elsewhere in existing threads just fine.
Made 10 posts and had this account much longer than 30 days, still can't make a thread. How can I make one? My account is activated and confirmed, I'm fairly certain. Can't see any notification about it not being.

How exactly and why am I suppost to get 10 post before opening a Thread?
I currently have a very werid Problem with my immobilizer and am looking for help with troubleshooting. (Yes I have read all the threads but nothing helps/ has the same symptoms as me)
As far as I understand Im suppost to open a new Thread in Series 1 trouble shooting but I cant.
Am I suppost to spam 10 answers onto other peoples Threads just so I can make my own or what? Event if Im writing complete bs?
