Hello everyone so I just bought my first 2011 RX-8 it's an automatic (don't judge me) and I've only had it for about 3 weeks. I came to a hard stop the other day and it shut off on me. This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time it happen I can't remember if it happened when I hard stop or not. But I'm pretty concerned since I just bought this car. Please help

Hello everyone I just bought this 2011 RX-8 it's an automatic and I've had it for about 3 weeks now. I've had one problem with it so far and it's that it has shut off on me twice. I did a hard stop and the car just shut off there was no rattling or nothing just a clean shut off. It has done this twice in the same week. Should I be concerned ? Should I take it in to get looked at by the dealership I bought it from? Please let me know what you think

Everything is stock I bought from the Mazda dealership with 6,000 miles it now has 7,125. I put oil in it last week and checked it after the car shut off the first time and the oil was still good. I put in 5w20 non synthetic.

I made an appointment with them I didn't get to speak to anyone about it though. It was all through a machine I did leave a voice mail hopefully they get in contact with me

Go have the dealership check it out. If it's the engine (which it may not be, being that you have an SII) you're still under their warranty. Definately don't have an independent shop do anything.
