BC Hello world!

Hello everyone,
I have been reading this site for quite a few days and would like to say that i am a potential rx8 owner in the making :D
This is going to be my second car (first car was/is a 2002 ford focus). Planning to buy an Rx8 in the coming month. Hope to get help from all of you in deciding(by this i mean which would be a good rx8 in the long run) as well as in mainting this beauty when i do get it.
Have my eyes on a Rx8 2011 GT White Manual with around 55k Kms on it which hopefully will get really soon as soon as i can arrange for a few funds for the down payment.

I feel the 2011 would be the best bet to get. Though there are cheaper 2005's but after reading a lot here, i feel the one with lowest Kms would be best , especially SII.
I live in a really remote location in BC and the cars in Edmonton in Alberta, so would greatly appreciate help in finding out if it would really be the best to get or not.

A 2011 is a good bet. It will still have some power train warranty left. The S2 cars also have quite a few reliability improvements that are proving beneficial. Be sure to have whatever you buy compression tested with a rotary-specific tester.

Also be sure to read all the stickies on this site--especially the new and potential owners sticky.

Welcome to the disease!

Yeah get a compression check like Steve said. Should be fine.. But it doesn't hurt to check.

Sounds like you've got everything figured out though!! Good luck man!
