Hard metal on metal rattle past 3000 rpm

Hey guys being new member before getting into my issue here is a little info . Currently ..i'm living in Louisiana do high temperaturesis an on going stressthat is put on my 8 . I currently just put a reman engine in and drive the car almost 800 miles from Missouri to Louisiana with no problems sure I spent just as much on gas as i would driving my truck but a small price to pay to have my 8 back up running on the road.. at 1000 miles i needed to add oil and went with 10w 30 due to the constant hot tempatures here in louisian. Took the car out after it rained to drift some parking lots and have some fun and while doing so i hit redline spinning tires and noticed my check engine light flashing ...so I check the coils which where all responsive and then moved to the plugs ene i found 2 fould plugs in the first housing.. replace plugs and the car was in a strong idle. Now keep in mind the car is running and the throttle body where the clip connects looked like it wasn't on properly and sure enough I pull on it abd it slides right off .. the idle went up above 2000 ...but sounded fine i put the clip back on and dis connected the battery for a half hour then did the 20 brake pumps and started the car back up.. whe. I did it has a horiblle metal on metal type rattle once i get to around 3000 rpm ... i will add a clip of the car running with noise here shortly i feel like it has to do with the air intake ..i drove it just to see how it would do and the rattle continues through every gear but being way less severe in 5th and 6th gear. I have cleaned the MAF and the butterfly of the throttle body and still cant get the car to stop from rattling so here i am looking for advice from the forum considering the people on here seem to know more than any mechanic ive talk to..if there is any info i can give to help diagnose the problem please let me know and i will do all i can to fet the right info on the post to fix the problem..

note .there is no check engine light on

I'd say read the following and let us know how many you violated first, if this was indeed a fresh reman.

Mazda's Guidelines
The Mazda RX-8 Owners Manual lists the following information for the break-in period of a new vehicle:

"No special break-in is necessary, but a few precautions in the first 1000 KM (600 miles) may add to the performance, economy, and life of your Mazda.

Don’t race the engine.
Don’t maintain one constant speed for long.
Don’t drive constantly at full-throttle or high engine RPM for extended periods of time.
Avoid unnecessary hard stops.
Avoid full-throttle starts."
A review of the Mazda RX-8 Service Manual Highlights revealed the following information regarding break-in:

"A fluorocarbon resin coating has been added to the trochoid surface (rotor housing) for improved initial break-in."

Racing Beat's Guidelines
The Mazda guidelines are reasonable and prudent. If you have any questions or uncertainly regarding the break-in period, we suggest you follow these official recommendations.

We receive many requests for our recommended break-in procedures. The following are Racing Beat's recommendations:

For the first 1000 miles do not accelerate under full throttle.
During the first 1000 miles do not exceed 4000 RPM.
For miles 1000-2000, expand the RPM upwards - but do not accelerate at full throttle.
Over 2000 miles, full throttle and high RPM is acceptable.

So would you say you maintained one constant speed for long over those 800 miles?

That aside, that sounds like something to do with the rebuild rather than poor break-in. Poor break-in might shorten the engine's life, but I'd be surprised if it failed catastrophically with metal on metal sounds. Can you tell if the sound is coming from the engine or from the transmission/clutch area?

Can you tell us anything about the noise? Does it accelerate with rpm or with vehicle speed or neither? Does it happen both in gear and in neutral? Clutch in and clutch out? Does the engine still start and stop like it's supposed to? Is there metal or oil on the spark plugs? It could be a clutch bearing, or it could be an engine bearing or a shattered seal.

starts up great plugs look normal and it does it in gear and in neutral...i added a link to my original post of me starting the car and revving it up a little so you can hear the noise that it is making and yes 🙄 cruise control and maintained a constant speed much of the trip..smh lol
