Hard cold starts

Hi
I have a 04 RX8 with 50,000KM"s in the clock.

Status of the coils and plugs are unknown - but when I inspected them they had a slight whit burent marks on them.

Issue I have been facing recently is that I m having rough cold starts , car won't start unless I try at least 3 times. Hot starts are the same, really hard to start . But It will start eventually.

Idles well , power seems to be normal ,no stalling issues

No CEL CODES unless for the gutted cat -

No sweet smell when starting up - coolant level is not getting down.

Battery was replaced recently - runs with the stock starter but I did service it as per the mazma TSB and it cranks about 250RPM

If you don't know the status of the coils, plugs and wires then you best change them. These are some of the most important parts of your cars ignition health.

You say you have 50,000 km's on the car, correct. Let's assume these are all original ignition components since you stated status unknown. If that's the case your coils are definitely at the end of their life span. They may all still be working but their output may be greatly reduced plus given the age of all the components. Age and use degrades these things. If I were you I'd be replacing all of it because it's due.
