Had the bug for a while, finally got the cure!
After having sold Mazdas for about a year and getting bit by the RX bug in a bad way, this past Friday, I finally got the cure: a 2004 6-speed in Nordic Green with the GT package. She is a one-owner vehicle with only 72.5k on the clock. I love the sound she makes, especially when I wind her up, and it makes my neighbors stare when I drive by.
Not knowing her service history (the salesman wasn't sure when the oil change was done and couldn't find the records), I took her in to the local Mazda dealer and got the oil changed this morning. The advisor said everything looked and sounded good and even advised me to keep a bottle of 5W20 in the car and to check my oil levels every other fuel fill-up and top-off as needed.
And, being that she's nine years old, she has a couple of issues, but I didn't expect her to be perfect.
I'm very glad to be here, and I'm looking forward to learning all I can about my wonderful car and making her as good as she can be.
