Hello Gang,
I am the proud new owner of an '05 Red 6 spd RX8. Sadly though, I inherited it from my brother. (He was a member here as "VALPAC" ) I am starting to go through it so I can find out what mods he did. So far I found a ton of Mazda Speed things already.
Here's what I can tell was done. Just not sure about who made it:
Mazmart's Reman engine w/new rotor housings and rotor
REmedy R9 HiFlow water pump
Cold Air intake
Aftermarket nose that has a different splitter and no Mazda badge. Is the radiator I'm seeing in the left grill where a fog lamp would be aftermarket?
Mazda Speed side skirts
Front tower brace (carbon fiber) and rear chassis braces
Racing Beat front and rear swaybars
Tein coilover shocks
...and I'm still finding more.
He used to talk about track days a lot. Not sure if I'll keep it and track it or sell it. Need to find out the value. It's a blast to drive for sure. If I didn't just get a '15 Corvette Z51, I'd keep her.

Car sounds rather well set up. I can say you likely enjoy the track a little more with the 8 than the Vette if you are just starting out. The Vette is an awesome car, however it needs a level of awesome in the driver that is a bit tough to attain starting out.
Pics will help us identify some of the parts when you get them.

Great idea to track the 8 before trying the C7. Especially since my Z51 is about 10x the value.
