Okay, I briefly searched through this forum, but most of the questions and answers about GPS's were for either out of the country or for way earlier releases.

So long story short where can I get a 2016 North America GPS CD for the 2004 RX8 GT NAV or at least a 2014-2015 release.

I found the 2008 releases but that is so obsolete none of the new exit ramps are shown, and even some of the entire roads are misssing.

I live in the DC area with most of my driving in NoVa/DC/MD

Roads change frequently in this area.

I am pretty sure 2008 is the last release that will work with the factory unit.

 

=( There are literally whole towns missing in Nova in 2008

 

As stated above 2008 is the latest edition. I have that option in my car and I don't think I have popped up the screen in over a year. It's pretty much worthless. A window mounted Tom Tom would serve you much better or change the head unit with one equipped with a GPS.

 

Is the 2006 Navigation swappable with the 2004 navigation?

I see that the 2006 has later release updates.

 

All of the S1 Navs suck. You are better off putting a tablet in the NAV screen
