Got my RX8 this weekend

Hello!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am in Tampa Bay area and I just bought a 2005 Winning Blue RX8. 6 speed manual 53k miles. I decided on getting the RX8 after getting hit on my motorcycle which was my daily for the last 3 years. Although I love riding, I decided it was finally time to get a car, and the RX8 just fit exactly what I was looking for.

Anyways looking forward to learning more about the car here, and I am sure there is plenty to browse through!

I had a 2007 Triumph Daytona 675. I LOVE riding and I'll get another soon. And ya the high revs on the RX8 comforts me a bit and I love driving it so far.

Oil question (braces self). My friend tells me to use regular oil rather than synthetic (he was an RX8 owner for 4 years). Is that the general consensus for regular street driving? Also the previous owner only used synthetic oil, would there be any harm in switching over to regular oil? Edit:<-more important question i guess (just reread the oil section in the "New and Potential Owners" thread.

You can use either. I use Shell Rotella Synthetic.
