Fuel pump retainer ring. HOW DO I RETAIN IT

Fuel pump retainer ring. HOW DO I RETAIN IT

Hello all. I finally got back from cleaning up the mess i made with JB WELD on sealing this down. well all aeas are cleaned as well as a new fuel pump. thing is this photos below is the damaged retainer ring. and new lockdown bolt top. how the heck does the retainer ring stay downwhen its not locked down to the body? those tabs will all be on the new one is it the pressure of tighting it that keps it locked underneath.. no videos or threads i see say in regards to how this retainer ring stays in place....thax guys and gals.....

disregard. i found the schematics...and it doesnt have to be bolted down. the threading has to be correct and it locks....thx

got it perfect first time.....new one just amazoned .....if anyone has trouble locking down there top to thread....here is the schematics.

I think you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble if you read this thread
