Fuel Pump Confusion

OK, I'm sorry to do this again but this is the last chance before I drive this piece of junk into the sea.

I have spent hours researching fuel pump replacement for my 2006 RX8 PX and I can't come up with a straight answer as to what fuel pump I should get.

I live in the UK, would like my fuel pump to work, have finally found someone that doesn't think I'm an idiot for having the RX8 in the first place and will replace it for me (one day I might have time to be a car 'tinkerer' but if this car takes up more of my time and still doesn't run properly then I'd rather have a donkey)

Can someone please just give me a link to a fuel pump that will fit in and can be fit by a garage and isn't going to fail a week later? I don't mind paying if it gives me better performance but I need to order it, have it arrive within a week and be capable of being fit by a garage.

Thanks in advance

...p.s. Sorry for being ranty but I have spent thousands on this car and many hours maintaining it and it still spends most of it's time broken.

Unless you have a reason for vastly increased fuel requirements....an OEM Mazda pump will likely be your best choice.. and likely easiest to get as well

That might work but "OEM Replacement" is not "OEM". Don't cheap out on important parts or you will just have to replace them again soon.

Also, a pump that cheap can't be good.

The Mazda part number for the fuel pump is N3H11335ZG (at least in the US and I assume it would be the same in the UK). Since you like eBay, here's something that might help you:

Those seem to only be in the US :\

If I ebay the pert number I get nothing in the UK.

When I search I come up with this, which I can't find any reviews for:
KEMSO 340LPH High Performance Fuel Pump MAZDA RX8 (ALL MODELS) | eBay

But I only see second hand pumps other than that and I assume I can use the same assembly? I guess I would have to as I can't find a new pump and assembly..

75K The engine got rebuilt 20,000 miles ago but didn't seem to make any difference which makes me think I was ripped off...

I have replaced most things that this forum advises (apart from the fuel pump) and the performance has always been fairly average.

I'm used to a standard 2.5 petrol engine in most cars I've owned in the last 10 years and don't feel I'm getting much extra from this car.

It's just a lot of work and lots of being broken without any benefits..

I do not mean to sound like a dick at all. However, IMO if a fuel pump is making you this upset and your already on the edge as it is, just drop in a new OEM pump, or assembly if you really want to make it easy, and just sell the car. I really cant give you any better advice then that.

I absolutely LOVE my 8, and have put alot of time and money into it. I did buy the car knowing that stuff WILL go wrong. I researched for about 6 months before I bought one. I have done all of the reliability mods and adressed most of the failing points of the car. If the engine blows tomorrow, I will not be shocked. Itll suck, but I will fix it and make it better. It is NOT my daily driver. Again, IMO, if you cannot relate to most of what I said, this car is not for you

Thanks. You are right. The car is the bane of my existence right now. Still, nobody has posted a link to where I can get a pump in the UK.

If I type it into ebay I get things without the assembly, 'replacements', genuine bosch parts (which by all accounts are crap) and I have no idea whether a garage will be ok using one of the 'fitting kits' to put in any of the 'upgraded' ones.

genuine OEM replacement fuel pump RX8 | eBay

Can someone just say 'This one' and post a link please?

In my first 8 2004, I changed the original fuel pump with failure for a Walbro 255 from Ebay and it worked very well.

Welcome to the online shop of the genuine car parts pro’s

Search for the part number I listed above.

Alternately, you could probably contact a dealer service or parts department for the part.
