Fog Light Issue

Have an 04’ RX8/automatic/grand touring. There is a backing insert behind the passenger side fog light, however, there isn’t one on the driver side as you can see through to the transmission cooler. Does anyone know if this is normal or if you can get a driver side fog light backing for it? Thanks.

It's your oil cooler and the automatics only have one, while manuals have a cooler on both sides (and you can see them behind the foglight). Sounds normal, ehat you're seeing is the blockoff for where the side without the cooler.

Loki- thanks for the response, as I appreciate it. To clarify, you’re saying as I look at my driver side fog light, I should be able to see through and visibly see my air cooler, then? There shouldn’t be a cover or anything over it?

Loki is correct. Only one oil cooler for the automatic 8's and it's on the driver's side. The passenger side will have a black plastic housing that can be seen behind the fog light.

Yes. The cooler needs to be in the air stream to cool
