FNG checking in with my 04
So I sold my 04 wrangler with 175k miles last weekend after 3 years and some incredible off road trips. 13 mpg isn't the best for a 50 mile round trip commute to nursing school. Passed on the screaming deal I had on a chevy cruze lease and didn't bite on the lime green fiesta ST I had available. So clearly the most logical choice was to get a rotary. Lucked out and the seller only put 6k miles on it after he bought it from a dealership. Went through and did all the maintenance (with records/carfax), then found out he's got a kid on the way. So new tires, brakes, fluids, coils, wires, etc. All the stuff I would've had to do to get it up to speed. 86k miles, GT2 package and totally loaded. Far cry from the spartan jeep interior and well...jeep everything. The wheels were a nice bonus.
Safe to say being a car guy has ruined me. As much as I want to take out the welder and all my tools, I have to keep it virgin. only consideration is the SOHN adaptor. Being a broke student is meh.
Don't worry, I took off the front plate.

Thank you, thank you. Fell in love with it soon as I saw it was an option. The paint is in pretty great condition considering I'm in Philly. Couldn't have yet another silver or black car in the driveway. Plus it's no yellow. And because I can't talk about the jeep without posting it...

Welcome to the club, there's a wealth of information available here. Read the forums, start with https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...ot-8-a-202548/
If you haven't done so then get a rotary specific compression test ASAP; that'll tell you whether you engine is healthy or not.
Love it, baby it when it's cold, and drive the bejebers outta it when it gets warmed up. That'll insure its continued good health.

Welcome to the club.
Read the threads linked in my sig.
The new and potential owners thread is a must for all of the new owners.
You for sure need a comp test to know the actual health of your engine.
I think the sohn and BHR ignition solution are a must for all NA renesis engines.
Again, welcome and nice color choice.
