Finally joined the rotary club

hello RX8club, I have recently purchased my newest car, a 2008 rx8. I have loved the rx series since I was a little kid and have always wanted.

I have always had a huge passion for cars since I was a toddler. I always had the need to constantly learn more and more about cars. this has made me follow many forums at a young age and have learned a ton of knowledge though that.

My first car was the Golden Stallion(where my username came from). It was a 2001 buick century and although is was a huge POS that my 2 older brothers destroyed, I still loved it for some reason and wish I never sold it.

Shortly after getting the stallion(like 30 days max), The head gasket blew. the engine was shot and the transmission was on its last leg. My parents have already put too much money into it so I actually got the car they purchased for me and that was my 1994 mazda miata. this was my favorite car I have ever driven. wasn't crazy fast but it handled amazing and could still get the tail out if desired(much like rx8's). I learned a lot about driving from this car. everything from learning manual to how to handle oversteer to basic mechanics. this car had a many aftermarket parts such as a supercharger, hard dog roll bar, stiffer shocks with coil over sleeves, exhaust and much more smaller things. I still own this car but sadly got into an accident with it (not to get into it too much, there wasn't much I could have done to avoid the accident and everyone was ok). This was the car 4 days before the accident

Now, my parents understood what happened and I was very grateful when my dad gave me his old E39 which is one of my favorite BMW chassis ever made. My family has had this car a while but to some it up, old bmw=expensive maintenance.

now onto the RX8. I wanted something that would last me a while and my parents wanted me in a newer car. I know I needed rwd and wanted manual again since the BMW was automatic. I have always loved rotary even though I have never owned one and knew that I would love it so I was pretty much sold on getting an 8. This car is a fully loaded 2008 rx8. I love it already and enjoy getting in it every day. I don't have any pictures of my rx8 on my laptop but its just a stock BB rx8 haha

Plans are simple as of now since it is my DD. I just purchased and installed a BHR midpipe and plan on getting a new exhaust soon. I then just want to get fortune auto coil overs and some wheels after that. Other plans include new aero down the road and small things to make the car more unique. I am function>form so any pure aesthetic parts will be last

TL;DR - I bought an rx8 and hoping to have a good time on this forum

I have actually gone through a lot of the sticky threads already. Like I said, I waste a lot of my time on the internet reading about cars haha. I didn't get compression numbers but it got inspected before and did good and also have a 3 year warranty that covers almost everything on the car
