Finally got an RX-8!!!
Hey RX-8 Club,
ill never forget the first time I saw an RX-8. I was in 4th grade (circa 2001) and thought, hell that痴 a sweet ride. I値l admit my mechanic strayed me at first by pushing me into an S2000, which was awesome! But lacking practicality at the same time. I sold that because I知 leaving for the Air Force soon and figured I wouldn稚 need a car.
My recruiter told me otherwise, so I went back on the prowl! I was mainly looking at Audi and BMW to get something more comfortable than the S2K.
On the lot I found this beautiful pearly white RX-8 with a practically MINT interior. The test drive was amazing, it drove just like my S2K, but the coil over suspension floated over bumps. I can say enough about how comfortable and fun this car is. It was listed for $8,999 and the dealer took my offer of $6,500 so I知 stoked on that. It probably has over $4k of after market parts alone.
My girl and I drive it straight out to the New Jersey shore that day off the lot.
AND it requires a special kind of knowledge to maintain. I知 a big project guy so this is peaking my interest.
Anyway this is the beginning of my RX8 story. Thanks for reading.
Oh and first thing I知 doing is upgrading to BHR Ign. System.
