Hi guys

I've been looking throughout this forum for year dreaming of getting an Rx8 and i finally did.

its a 2008 40th. 59000 miles. it came with a ken wood stereo. pretty sure you guys know the rest.

i will be modding it slow and steady but for now i have a few questions.

when im shifting from 1 to 2 and im going over 20 or so (around 4000 rpm) my gear will grind what can i do to fix this ?? only happens with that gear

is there a way to make the display on top of the stereo work with this aftermarket stereo ??

there's a whistle noise the comes on from time to time but its not the belt and i cant figure it out ??

this is my first car so take it easy on me

 

congrats bro! i think your transmission synchro are going bad. try putting new gear oil easy diy. if that does not help it might be time to rebuild or swap.

For the aftermarket deck
buy a Metra kit if you really want the display working.
if u had a Metra kit it would display at the top still and u can customize what it says.
In your journeys to come this forum will have every answer

the lcd display connection is bigger then the one on the metra kit
