Extended cranking, vapour lock?

Hot or cold the engine catches in a second every time you turn the key, but when It's warm It needs to crank three to four seconds? This feels like a vapour lock, but the engine behaves otherwise normally while operating, has anyone else encountered this symptom? There's no power loss or trouble holding Idle.

"Warm" means the temperature gauge reading anywhere between rest and operating temp.

Have you searched threads on compression loss? Weak ignition?

In fact, a resent thread had issues similar to yours and the issue was resolved. Similar title to yours...

This is what I believe RX8Soldier is referring to.

However If it starts easily when the engine is cold, but difficult to start when the engine is hot, it's generally a sign of compression loss. But always do a compression test BEFORE ruling anything out.

Thank you, I don't know why the forum search engine didn't turn this up but It's certainly the same issue. Will be checking fuel lines.
