Exhaust smoke

hey everyone! I’m new to the rx8 family, I just bought a 2005 rx8 with a new engine (passed compression tests) but when I redline it it shoots out massive clouds of smoke (white with a blue tinge) I do premix my fuel but not sure if that has anything to do with it, thanks

How many miles on the new engine?

How much oil is in it?

Check inside the accordion tube between the air filter and throttle body. If you find a lot of oil in there, the oil was probably overfilled and it puked up the breather tube(s), into the intake system, and is being sucked into the motor.

Is it full or is it overfull? It doesn't take much to puke a bunch of oil at high RPM. I know because I've done it.

The new engine is good news, but still have your cat and ignition coils checked (unless theyre also new). Sometimes engines are replaced without solving the root of the problem, which quickly results in a new dead engine. I don't think thats related to the smoke, just advising.

The smoke deffo sounds like oil puking

update

So the midpipe did nothing, I replaced the plugs coils and wires, I ran a compression test and the back end of the engine didn’t do so great, the car won’t hold an idle, help

It wont hold idle? Are the coils connected to the correct spark plugs? People have definitely messed that up.

When you say "not great" what are the numbers?

Did you actually find oil in the intake?

What were your numbers? If the compression is low then it could be a problem unrelated to your ignition system.
