EX mode drops out

Hello, I picked up a 2009 rx-8 where the previous owner had wired in an ipod 30 pin cable. Not sure what the adapter is but I bought a 30 pin bluetooth adapter unit for it. It works great for about 30 seconds and then the TV screen switches to a blue screen that says "TV1" with a bunch of gibberish and the audio cuts out. If I press "CD" again it resets and works fine for about 30 seconds and then drops again. I'm at fireware 9.55, anyone encountered something like this before?

TV screen? :o There is no TV screen in these cars, so sounds like someone put in more than just an adapter.

The S2 factory navi is different from S1. It does kinda look like a TV, and easy to mix up with an aftermarket unit.

OP, if your unit looks exactly like this one, then it's OEM. If it looks different, then it's an aftermarket unit and you need to consult the manual of the head unit manufacturer.
