I have a 4-port Rx8 with 5-MT.
I recently bought the Versatuner application, installed it and collected map data to study possible improvements. When reviewing the data on the limits I have taken a surprise, because according to the data collected by Versatuner, the speed cut is at 9000 rpm, but the beep is given at 7500 rpm and therefore the cut should be above 8000 rpm.
At first I thought it was a mistake, since the 4-port engine can not get that high, so today I tested and that must be the limit, because it reaches almost 9000 rpm and did not act the cut.
Thinking that the limit was 8000, one of the things I was studying was the possibility of uploading something more (for example 8500) but I would not even have thought about reaching 9000. In fact now I'm considering lowering the limit to protect the motor .
I think, it could be that the limit of 8000 is applied only in the 4-AT changes, while the 5-MT could be prepared to reach 9000 rpm.
Someone with 4-port stock engine and manual transmission, can confirm what is your limit.
