i started to take it to a mechanic and get an estimate they said i had to change my lower gasket, and long story it would cost 1566.00. i took the info it needed and bought the parts myself hired a guy who put em on and it still died at stops and wouldnt hot start. ( i paid 194.00 for that 1st estimate) 500.00 to the next mechanic and still not right. i then was told i should go to a specialist for electrical. he said i needed to replace my up manifold gasket. and well i said thats it. i never worked on cars and with reading these post,
I added an ssv solinoid and night and day. im so close to having all my checks green for the emissions test. once and i hope i pass i will mid pipe the sucker. i have learned alot and im just concerend that if all lights are green what comes out of the tail pipe is concerning me . any suggestions. ( i tried spacers for the o2 but it worked for a bit during my drive cycle the next day engine light popeped on....any ideas as im so close.i also thinking i need to get a new starter, are the upgraded ones ok or should i spend 400 on one.?
