TN DSC Availability?

Hello,

I'm new to the forums, and I'm glad it's here. It has provided me a wealth of information regarding the 8 (the Renesis rotary engine, it's unique needs, and so much more).

I'm shopping around for a used 8, and one of the things that bothers me is that DSC isn't standard across the board. Having read this thread I've been turned off by anything that isn't a Touring or Grand Touring. I know some may gawk at me for looking for this, but I haven't driven RWD before. While I would like to explore first hand what all this car can do, I'm not always going to be able to be in the controlled environment necessary (track, large empty parking lot, etc). Plus it snows where I live.

Aside from seeing if there is a "DSC Off" button installed, I have no clue how to find out if an 8 has that option installed of not.

You will get a lot of differing opinions on whether or not it's useful.

But yes, looking for the DSC is a good way to determine if it has DSC or not.

If it has a moonroof but cloth seats and DSC, it's Touring, if it has leather with the seat heater buttons in the center, it's Grand Touring. Sport or Base are cloth interior with no moonroof.
