I have a 2007 RX8 and the exterior door handle on the driver's side fell off. I CAN open the door from the inside. So far I have taken the interior door panel off and then the little panel after that. So I can see where the handle goes in to connect, but I can tell which way to attach it so it will actually open the door.

I am NOT mechanically inclined, but I can't get it into the shop until Tuesday and I am too old to be crawling over the front seat!

I was wondering if anyone has a picture or diagram of how the door handle connects from the inside? I know I can take the other door panel off, but I am hoping to avoid that.

I have a 2004 RX8 I went to get gas and left the windows down. When I came back to my car the doors were locked (probably habit) and since the door wouldn't open I stuck my hand in the door instead of the key to unlock and the alarm went off. I had to do various maneuvers to get it to stop. It did. Later, I went to get in the car and the door handle fell off! What? Now I cannot even get in the car because I don't have a remote...blah, blah, please help.
