i took my car to a local mechanic after having issues with electrical and the car being in limp mode. long story short hes saying that the drive by wire relay needs to be replaced or the throttle body which i have already replaced with another used to attempt to fix the problem myself. anyone know the location of said relay? is it called something else and inside the throttle body? thanks in advance!

 

It is called ETV Relay..should be in the fuse box

There is an ETV fuse as well

 

I'll bet it's likely the oil metering pump though 😎

Where does it run to? My 04 rx8 is in limp mode and noticed a fuse missing and put another one in there and it was super loose. So I flipped the fuse box over and the wire is completely gone. Cant find out where to look for it. Etv fuse 15a. Not the relay. The fuse........ having intermittent problems with several fuses actually. Head lights turn signals power steering. Hit a bump and there gone. Gotta re seat them and it's back for awhile. But the limp mode is only let's it go like 2000 rpms. So cant really drive if far. Figured I might need another fuse box. Cleaned all fuses. And jammed the fuses in and out to try and clean metal tabs inside the fuse box to. But still hit a bump and there lose powersteering and turn signals. So with the wire being completely gone might through it in limp mode. The etv fuse wire....... help.........!!!!!!! Lol
