Does this raise any questions

Hi guys, i am wondering if this stain on the carpet is an indicator for some issue that may have occurred in the past or is it just a faded carpet. Looks strange though compared to the rest of the interior of the car,w which is quite well maintained.

Edit: i am going to view this car and intend to purchase it.

Check that you have a stock exhaust manifold .... possible that heat from an aftermarket setup may have affected it. Failing that ...look for corresponding marks from high heels in the roof liner.

thanks for the reply. So it could be due to an aftermarket exhaust set up. Ok. I am pretty sure the exhaust system has been meddled with as the owner of the car mentioned that the Cat has been removed.

if it was the aftermarket exhaust, i do not have to worry about the stain i guess. Am i correct ?

sorry i am unable to understand what the high heel marks on the roof liner means. Could you possibly explain yo the noob ? Thank you.
