So I bought an 04 rx8 and the guy said no compression torn the engine down apex seals looked ok but I had a had time taking the front rotor out turns out when I pulled the rotor off the rotor bearing was stuck to the e-shaft got it off and im waiting on new bearings but is this e-shaft and rotor re usable I know this is trash already
May be able to reuse the rotor if it doesn’t have any damage to the surfaces. All the rebuilds I have watched (I’m rolling my eyes at myself at this point) they have actually put in new bearings in the rotor and use a special tool (I don’t know how to describe it other than like an espresso tamp but for a bearing). Have no idea about the other stuff though. I think as long as the e shaft isn’t bent or super scratched, I would use it, but I haven’t ever rebuilt a motor 😂
Thank you the barings sould be in today but think they got stuck in Colorado because of the snow but I'm going to say **** it and onces they get in I'll press them in and put everything back together
