DIY MSpeed Wing fitment

To keep this simple and short, I bought a parts car to fix some things on my current 8. The parts car has a duraflex mspeed replica that I plan to plastidip and put on my 8 as I like the look of the wing. It fits ok along the majority of the bumper, but then sticks off near the edges (I'll attach a picture). I was wondering if anyone has had any experience or seen anyone use some kind of foam or bondo or something to fill the gap. Would/could it work? I'm not looking for something perfect, and because I am plastidipping it I would imagine it wouldn't show bondo lines as easily as paint. I figured it might be worth a try since I got the wing for 'free' (and that is the only reason I would bother with duraflex). I couldn't find anything by searching the forums, or online in general.

Thanks in advance to anyone who took time to read and respond to this
-Jake

Yeah man, people do it all the time. Just get some of the foam from a Home supply store. Then when it dries just sand it down and plastidip over it.

Oh and then when you are done, set that POS on fire.

Have you tried moving the wing base back about a quarter inch. It looks like it is sitting on top of the trunk instead of hugging the edge like it's supposed to. The rear edge of the base should extend down from the trunk edge slightly.

Yea once I eventually get an authentic one I'll make sure this duraflex piece of garbage will see its demise.

You might be right, once I get it off the parts car I can mess around with how it sits. Although it is duraflex so no matter what I do it will never fit or look right. Which is why this is only a temporary opportunity to see if I like the style of wing.
