Hey guys just purchased my first rx8. Always loved these cars but could never afford a new one. Its on 06 a/t 64xxx miles.. Got it off a buddy of mine. Car starts perfect when cold but then as it gets warm it starts to idle really rough and i cant even get it into reverse without it shutting off. So i usually have to rev it up to about 1500k n then shove it into reverse and the same for drive. but once i drive off it goes back to normal. I always allow it to warm up at least 5 min before i drive off as ive done my research online. I took it to autozone to check the cel n it came out with cylinder 1 misfire & oxygen sensor i believe. The car does have an cai & an after market exhaust, not to sure on the brands.. Today im gonna purchase the Coils n plugs hoping that will solve the idle problem. Would Really appriciate it if someone could fill me in on something i should know.

Did you have the compression checked?
Read the new and potential owners sticky found at the top of the new members forum. It explains the workings of the engine. Your exact issue has been discussed at length since the rx8 came out
