QC Custom turbo Kit

I actually build a custom turbo project on my S1, I just want 300hp 6-7 psi setup, I have few question :

1.Manifold piping diameter 1.75 OD or More/Less

2.Exhaust downpipe 2.5p or 3p

3.Exhaust system 2.25-2.5 or 3p

4.Fuel pump OEM/WALBRO/AEROMOTIVE

5.Injecteur Oem or how much cc you recommend for primary and secondary injector

6.Low Mount or Top mount

7.Management COBB/E-MANAGE/ ADAPTRONIC/MICROTECH

8.Omp pump+Premix or Sohn Adapter

Danny,

You are correct that it is painful in your head to get the answers, and you are correct that you could spend a week straight reading all the information.

That doesn't mean that you don't need the information. Because you do. Turbocharging an RX-8 is NOT as simple as just providing quick answers or a few links. It's going to take WEEKS or MONTHS of research and planning if you want to do it right, and then months or years of careful work to actually implement it. If you aren't willing to do the digging for the information, then you simply are not ready to turbocharge an RX-8.

You have to get every single last thing right on the very first try, or you will lose your engine immediately. This engine does not take turbocharging very easily at all, and there are HUGE risks to both bank accounts and hardware.

We can't give you simple answers because the only simple answer that exists is "don't turbocharge". Any other answer gets very complicated. You HAVE to understand every single facet, or you don't even stand a chance.

Start with this subforum: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-maj...r-upgrades-93/
Start from the top and read each thread with the word Sticky to the left, then keep going and read every big build thread. Most of the informative build threads are on the first page.

Thank
1.
2. 3 if you can make it fit , but for 300hp/250whp 2.5 will suffice
3. 3 is better but for 300hp 2.5 free flow will suffice
4.Walbro has worked ok for me but a series 2 assembly is a better upgrade (for cornering starvation issues) and stock flow is sufficient for 300hp.
5. stock P1 and sec , blue P2 . For 300hp/250whp the stock injectors will actually handle it .
6. Low is much more difficult to build but yields a better result ................ unless you want the bling of a top mount.
7. Cobb or Mazdaedit , depending on where you are ...... mazdaedit would be my first choice .
8.Stock Omp with increased rate (via the cobb/mazdaedit) , no sohn or premix

So yeah , a few of those answers are just my opinion based on 5 years of experience with my own car plus from tuning numerous others of various layout .
