Coolant leak

I need help in how I can fix a coolant leak. After inspecting hoses and trying to figure out where the leak is coming from. I saw that I was leaking from the thermostat, however the thermostat works perfectly fine. So I think its leaking because of the gasket if thats what is called.

does anyone how I could fix this myself or how much would it be for a mechanic to do so?

it's not too bad...have to take out some stuff to get at it. Mostly the air pump valve. There is a rubber gasket around the thermostat lip ...take it out and if it intact put a thin coat of black RTV on it and put it all back together. Check to make sure there isn't pitting where it seal....and clean it up well...and you will be good

I notice the leak when changing my headers but it only leaks when my rpm passes 6. I'm guessing the pressure makes it leak. I heard about take out the alternator as well and much other stuff then valve.
