Clutch feels loose, especially 1st gear.

Just replaced me clutch and installed an Exceddy oem clutch and when I'm taking off from first gear feels really loose. It seems to not be engaging easily. Is it because it's new and I need to break it in?

It will feel different initially because of breakin, however I don't really understand what you mean by "loose"?

Perhaps loose isn't the accurate way to describe it. But what I meant was that it doesn't engage as quickly as smoothly or as quickly. I'm letting go of the clutch a lot slower now, because it doesn't engage as quickly especially when I'm taking off in 1st gear.

Ok, yes, that is because it's not broken in yet. Take it easy on the clutch for the first ~500 miles of driving, more if that is mostly highway miles (less shifting)

Ok thanks, I will be making a 300 mile road trip this week so that will bring me down to a couple hundred.
