CEL on 2010 RX-8 GT 6Spd...Rev to Red it went away...but now have questions
OK My RX-8 has just hit a little over 65,000+ miles.
Earlier today as soon as I started my car the CEL was on.
So I plugged in my BlueDriver OBD II scanner and checked and I had these codes...
P0111 - Intake Air Temp Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1
P2004 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open Bank 1
P2005 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open Bank 2
The car was idling fine and drives fine...So when I was at operating temp I rev to redline to see if anything is different but it was fine.
Got back and i noticed CEL is gone...plugged the OBD II scanner and codes are gone as well.
So questions...
1. Did revving to redline actually fixed the issue?
2. Does the Air Sensor and Manifold Runner Control possibly the contributing factor to my intermittent longer than usual crank when my engine has been cooling down for about 1-2 hours?
