PR Car not turning over

Hello,
New member here. Just traded my JZA80 for a 2004 RX8 and some moolah. Had it less than a week and after a normal drive, the engine wouldn't turn over. It turns on push started so I assumed it was the starter. Lights, and stereo turn on fine. Battery was tested, all good there Fuses and relays all good. Put on a new starter and no changes. Looking at threads and about 50 you tube videos and still no luck as to why it wouldn't start.. Saw a thread here of someone going as far as being told by the Mazda dealership to give up. Well, I don't know why, but a mechanic in Puerto Rico just jumped in the car with a flashlight and a pair of pliers. Apparently there is some sort of plunger that activates the clutch and the ignition and it was bent at 45 degrees when it should have been at 90. Bent it back and that new starter makes it start very strong and sexy. So if your car is a six speed and there is an issue with not cranking over, make sure you check that lil suckah in the back of the clutch before anything else. I am glad I changed the starter, but I didn't really need one!

Glad you got it resolved. I've personally gone through hell to find out the solution to some problem and turned out to be easy. This car makes you feel stupid sometimes lol.
