Can I drive my rx8 without front bumper lip and splash guard

Can I drive my rx8 without front bumper lip and splash guard
on my way to work and ran over a tire tread messing up my front bumper lip, when I accelerate past 60 I can hear it dragging. My question can I remove the lip and splash guard that runs under the engine? Until I can replace. Please help fellow Rx8 lovers
