Bought a 2004 RX8 Grand Touring

I don't have any pictures of the car on my computer, so I will update a few pictures later. I just traded my 1999 Eclipse plus some cash for my new RX-8, and I am not regretting the decision. My 8 has about 90,000 miles on her, is a manual, and has a carbon fiber hood, and is also silver. It is a fantastic looking car. I am very excited to own one and now have a club to appreciate the car!

Welcome.

Did you have a rotary specific compression test done prior to purchase?

Read through the threads linked in my SIG. The new and potential owners thread Is a must for all 8 owners.

I read through most of it, but I must have missed that part, thank you. I looked at the compression part, how do I obtain a compression test if I already own my car, and it was from a private party, not a dealer?

Take it to a Mazda dealership or to anyone who has a rotary specific compression tester that compensates for RPM and altitude. Post the results here and we'll tell you if your engine is good/marginal/almost dead. The compression test should cost between $100 and $150 USD.
