A body kit for my 2003 RX-8

Hey forum!!

Basically, Im interested in buying a body kit for my 03 rx8. I live in New Zealand and am struggling to actually find any kits that I like, and so far have only managed to find two.

VIS Racing Mazda RX-8 VIS Racing J Speed Full Body Kit - 04MZRX82DJSP-099

RX-8 D1-GT | Take a look at our globally recognized custom car(s)?VeilSide?

But my questions were, basically why is the top one so much cheaper? The Veilside kit is about $850 NZD a piece, but this other kit is so much cheaper?

And also, does anybody reccomend any sites i could look at to actually buy myself a body kit in NZ?

No idea why the VIS kit is so cheap, but I would imagine it's because the kit is shoddy quality.

I recently PM'd a guy who has been around awhile, and he said that the most reputable companies/sites to get kits from would be Racing Beat, Mazdatrix, Vertex Lang. Do a Google search, and they all come up pretty easily. They're obviously more expensive, but from everything I've read on these forums, the kits for RX-8's aren't cheap unless they're ****.

Also, have a link to the body kit stickied thread --> https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-ext...dy-kits-13713/

just wait till he figures out how much the RX-8 D1-GT really is. An absolutely beautiful kit!

I already know how much the D1-GT kit is, thats why im really keen on it haha. But was just confused as to why the other one was so cheap, and i could only guess the same as Zipperelli, its bad quality. I've currently spoken to some people from New Zealand Performance Auto Parts about the Veilside (D1-GT) kit. Am likely to go ahead with it

(Also, the sticky you linked, it doesnt appear that any of the links on that page work? It has links to some kits but i cant seem to get any of them to work?)

Oh yeah, I know a lot of the links were broken, but the thread is good for getting a general idea of how much you should expect to pay, and what companies have a good/**** reputation.

Broken links is the main reason I sent that PM out originally, and gave you the big 3 kits/companies to do a search for.

The VIS kit is most likely made of fiberglass. Fiberglass is cheap and not durable, hit ur bumper on the sidewalk and there you go it cracks and it only gets worse hence the cheap price.

You might want to double check with them though.
