The Project car didn't have the battery hold down clamp, so I bought a universal one but it doesn't work because the original has the j-bolts offset.
So I'm looking for a cheap original.
The other question is what held the original j-bolts in place? When I tried to hook up my universal, the one on the left side of the battery slipped and I had to take the box out to retrieve it. Did they clip into something that I'm missing?

 

They hook into cutouts in the battery tray. I would hit up ebay for an original tie down?

 

Do they clip in place?
My replacements seem a bit too thick.
I'm looking on Ebay now.

 

No nothing clips in. They just slide into their notch as you tighten the top nuts.
