Did you run into any issues when you were spraying the base coat? Is there anything particular about the RX8 that makes it more difficult to spray than other cars? Any tips for someone that wants to dip?
I think the quality and detail are pretty damn good. I'm impressed with the things people are able to accomplish with a product never intended for painting cars.

My Question: Why not just paint it like that instead of using plastidip? Like said earlier, +1000 for originality, I get it, not to my tastes though!

The front end was a little more tricky than the rest of the car or other cars we've dipped because of the curves over the front wheels. This car isn't as boxy as many others so be careful and pay extra close attention to make sure you get your spray pattern right up there.

If my bankroll was $15,000 real paint would have been a great option, but since the budget was $1,500 plasti dip was the way to go... Not to mention it's removable when I want to sell it to the next guy.

I have often thought of plasti dipping my wheels.
