When you consider and compare the price of an known high quality exhaust. $180 is pennies. What do you have to lose? If you like it, good. If its garbage, throw it away and start over.

Keep in mind though that exhaust systems are no different than anything else in the world when it comes to the rule -of-thumb. You get what you pay for.

I have to agree with goddesshunter on this one. You get what you pay for. If you have $180 to spare, take the risk. Otherwise, if I were you, I'd save for a little while and buy a higher quality product.

Not so sure about Speed Daddy or Speed Factory, but my friend used Ebay exhaust in his Rx8. Caused all sorts of problems.. Was too loud like acivic on a fart can. Both of us felt power loss in his rx8 comparing to mine. And the exhaust welds broke after a few months and so on.

It's upto you take a risk, and let us know how it goes. i am still saving for Greddy or Exoticspeed. if not then ill just go for Racing Beat..

Besides $180 being of no consequence, crawling under a car to replace an exhaust system is such a rewarding experience that the chance of doing it an extra time should not be missed.

ok guys, thanks for the input. I think im going to take a chance. I usually am hard when it comes to you get what you pay for, but i mean its a exhaust, not a turbo. Im not going to spend 1k on a "good" exhaust for 2hp

I had bought one, box arrived in really rough shape. I shouldve called the seller before opening it and addressed the issue. My drivers side muffler ended up going bad and I ended up having to get the whole thing remade using magnaflow mufflers... Also they will discolor fairly quickly and the tips will be disgusting in no time so be prepared to have to get new tips installed at a muffler shop. May wish to consider the raceroots single exit... lighter, great sound, superb quality, and not much more expensive than the ebay exhaust especially after needing new tips and potentially having them go bad.

Not Ebay, but I have a "custom" exhaust with flowmasters on it. It is a little loud for my taste even without the midpipe.

Then take the advice from my first post about inspecting the package before opening and contacting the seller if there is even a little bit of damage, or spend the money to get a proper "name brand" catback so you dont end up spending more than you should for a quality piece.

At least Race Roots is a reputable brand with some R&D behind them though. Also; is there something wrong with your OEM exhaust? Why pay $180 to swap if for one to be of a known lesser quality? It's like paying someone to kick your fender...

going for a little more air flow, bigger tips, and some sound. Same as you would if you spent $1000 on a exhaust, except im not expecting the same quality

I understand where you comming from not wanting to spend a 1000 on just a damn exhaust. Trust me I am the same way being a student, but with an RSX-8 i figured either do it right or just dont do it at all. More Air Flow??? Your stock exhaust will outperform any ebay exhaust hands down, it wont really give you any performance gain, or anything so better spend that money delete ur CAT and install a midpipe.. thats a better route in my opninon.. You free up some power, eliminate the engine failure point and etc... Just my 2cents

i dont see how our stock pipes flow better then a bigger exhaust that is also mandrel bent. Also guys, another reason I dont want to spend 1000 bucks is because I do plan to do a LS1 swap in the future, so I want to keep it cheap for now. Id just like the car to not be as quiet as a prius

bc these cars are sweet cars, but the power train is ****. Face it. They cant be fast unless there swapped. Aint worth a **** under boost. a couple thousand in mods willl get you like 10hp. These cars are everything but fast.

the 2 engines are pretty similar in weight so it'll still handle great. Much more powerful, and reliable. Even with 100+ hp and 150tq a LS1 car will STILL get better fuel mileage. So you put a sweet engine in a sweet car, and it makes it all the sweeter. maybe its my opinion
