I locked my keys in the car the other night. When I unlocked the car using a coat hanger to manually unlock the door the alarm started going off. So I disconnected the battery to turn off the alarm. Everytime I reconnected the battery the alarm still goes off. I turn it on still alarm goes off. Has anyone else had this problem.

 

Try locking, then unlocking the drivers door, using the KEY.
Should reset.

...but alarm will still go until it does.

Yes, just as StealthSTL said. I know this because it happened to me while I was fixing the door lock actuator... For a week, I just removed the fuse for the horn, the light still flashed but it shuts off after 3 minutes or so.


Unless your door lock has connection problems, you would have to physically use the remote. Otherwise, unlocking the driver's side door with the key should deactivate the alarm; the battery should be connected.

 

I did the same with the horn fuse. The alarm isn't a joke. It's so loud
