Aerosol seafoam with straw
Aerosol seafoam with straw
I have been searching for awhile trying to see if anyone has used the aerosol seafoam with the straw through the air intake near the MAF sensor.
I know people run the liquid seafoam or water through LIM nipples. Or just in the gas tank.
I have an extra can of the aerosol, that I only used a bit of on my motorcycle. I was wondering if there is any reason to do it or not to do it.
I was thinking that maybe it could clean the valves that open like the SSV or the other one, in a half assed manner.
Nothing is wrong with the car as far as I can tell with the way it runs. It starts within a second and no hot start issues. It pulls fine and very rarely stumbles in the high rpm range.
I had a very low vaccum, about 12in/mg at idle. Reassembled the intake and replaced a coil. That got it to around 14 at idle. Reset and ran it hard and saw it go to around 16 occasionally. I put a 1/4 cup of seafoam into the gas tank with a 1/4 tank of gas and it is dropping to around 14 again.
