ABS and TCS lights on every time car is driven hard

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked often before.

Every time I drive my RX-8 hard lately the ABS and TCS warning lights appear.

It's only started happening in the last six weeks during which time I've had the following work done:

Front tyres changed to 18/*40/225

Back brake pads replaced

Engine mounts replaced

Coil pack replaced.

I was thinking the lower profile front tyres might be affecting the sensors.
Is this possible and will it actually affect traction etc?

Cheers.

If it started after the front tire change it could be that if the diameter is smaller than the rears. What's the condition of your rear tires?

Hey. Rear tyres are in pretty good condition. I've only done about 400 miles on them, but they have the standard sidewall/size - 18/45/225.

The ABS/TCS only ever comes on when I rag it - e.g. if I redline in 3rd.

well rear tires are taller, so this could be telling the ecu that your front and rear are going two different speeds and it thinks it needs to correct it, try correct size tires

Thanks.

Do you think it would actually have an effect on the handling or is it safe to ignore for now?
