Abs light and no speed
Ok so I’ve been reading for hours and days with no solution.
im having electrical problems, my ABS, BREAK, and PS lights are on, my speed does not read and my mileage does not go up. The light will turn on and off at was seems random.
i have check all speed sensors and their resistance, my third break light was out but replaced and problem still exists. Check break light switch and everything checks out, I redid my PS wires as I just cut the connectors and hard wire to fix a previous problem, my battery and alternator are working properly. I do have Toyo tires on 245/40/18 but I’ve had them for 4 months before this problem arised.
my last resort would be the ABS controller it’s self as Ik thats a solution.
what else should I check before I decide to go forward with this solution? I’ve ran out of ideas to check, thank you!!

I believe it was 0.7k - 4.4k ohms
my power steering wouldn’t work and liked to turn off all the time, the cleaning of connectors only helped for the day and that’s it, I just jumped the connectors and eventually just hard wired everything (solder) I was gonna resolder them again only to find my top of my iron missing🗿 fun, so I just put spade connectors for now and it seemed to have helped a little but not a lot.
now they turn on right on start up and after about 5 mins they go out. Drives normally. Then I decided to try a peel as it triggered it last time I tried and they came on again, then I decided to see if I can lock my breaks with the lights on, and they turned off and I couldn’t. So I tried again, peel then lock. This time I was going 40 (speed doesn’t work so 3rd at 4k rpm’s) and I was able to lock them up and the lights stayed on that time. Super weird.
i have two new codes
u0121 Lost Communication With Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module
and p0456 Evap system - small leak
i have more but I know their causes.
thank you for your quick reply.
imma buy a new tip for my iron and hard wire the wires, then maybe stock size tires? Then abs. And hopefully one fixes it.

It's not the tires. Sounds like a loose connection between ECU and ABS module?
Are you talking about soldering the electric power steering power wires? Under the battery? I'd be surprised that's it, those are just power. They wouldn't have anything to do with the ABS module.

and yes those wires, but I suppose your right. Just trying anything at this point.
I’ve read the thread from 2012 saying it could be the different tire sizes, but in my head I felt like that wouldn’t really matter. Who kns

Having very different size tires at the same time would definitely cause issues, but if they're all the same, it shouldn't be a problem.
I wonder if you can get the light to trigger (or go out) by manipulating the wires either at the ABS or ECU end. If there's intermittent contact somewhere, and it connects/disconnects due to the car's motion, you should be able to recreate same with your hand while someone watches the dash or reads OBD.

Update
i decided to just spray everything with electrical cleaner and well it worked
i sprayed my ess because it was dirty and the pins to the abs as well as the back of the pins, wait for them to dry then put everything back together.
i then went to the mountains (Angeles crest in LA) with no lights and no problems, will check if I have codes since i deleted my air pump bc I gutted my cat.
but now a new problem, my clutch pedal broke. Again. Ugh, imma just weld it and hope it works again
anyhow thank you for your help means a lot !!!
till next problem

So that fix only lasted me the day and the problems persisted.
a few weeks later I decided to replace the abs pcm. I had a non dsc abs, so I found out that any other year, trim, and transmission that have non dsc abs will work and are interchangeable.
Found a pcm at my junkyard and it been good for a couple of days now and all problems are gone!!
