2004 RX8 Bottoming out very easily

I bought an rx8 04 with about 140k miles and the rear end of the car seems to bottom out when going over speed bumps at a normal speed. This is even worse when there is another person in the car. Even going over small divots in the road going 30+ mph I can feel either the struts bottoming out or the underside slamming into the ground. The struts are original and I was wondering if I should replace the entire rear strut assembly and what should I replace it with? I heard some people say to avoid buying OEM struts as the issue can be common with them and to go with some aftermarket adjustable struts. If someone could refer me to some budget-friendly options that'd be wonderful.

I would think even at 100k miles the suspension would need a refresh let alone 140k miles. OE struts are high quality. Never had a problem. Unless you like to tweak and adjust rebounds, you are better off getting non-adjustable units.

You're better off with high quality non-adjustable stuff than low quality but adjustable for the same price. Realistically you'll adjust it once in never but feel the cost savings on every bump.

OEM Tokico's are fine. Bilstein B6/B8 are great as well, depending on usecase and budget.
