2004 rx8 6speed

Ok.... start off saying this is my first post here, take it easy!!
So far I absolutely love my rx8, got it on a deal that it needed a new starter. The guy wasn’t wrong, it did need a starter, but now it’s something else.
also, my car ALWAYS bump starts just fine and drives relatively good.
I’ve replaced my starter and spark plugs so far, next im going for replacement coils. Someone please point me in the right direction, this is my first rotory so I’m new to it, but very familiar with pistons.

Welcome.

Are you having difficulty with cold and hot starts? Or just one of them?

Read the links in my signature if you haven't already.

What other issues are you currently experiencing? Sounds like you took care of one but there is another.

So when you replaced the starter, did you get one from 2005+? The 04 starter is a bit weak. You will also likely see improvements after coil replacement.

Hot start issues are either compression or fuel pump. If you stumble at higher RPM range, you should check your fuel pressure.
